You may be wondering what the cause of asthma is, especially if you are keen to reduce the severity and frequency of your attacks. Asthma is a respiratory condition that can have an impact on the quality of your life. You must first realize that not all asthma is the same, in finding out what the cause of asthma is. Several different types of asthma have different triggers.

Allergy can cause asthmatic reactions. Any person who has allergy to a certain things such as animal hair, pollution, etc can cause asthma. Smoking within the family can cause bronchial problems. Every member of the family is prone of having respiratory illnesses especially asthma. Any type of infection can also cause asthma. A weak immune system is another cause of asthma.

Most people know that exercise is good for the health but not in the case of some asthmatic individuals. In their condition, even a light or tiring exercise can cause their asthma to worsen. One of the best things to do with this medical condition is to understand the causes of asthma attacks. Knowing this can help you prevent the threatening effects of asthma.

Now, asthma is a disorder that affects the airways or the bronchial tubes in your lungs. The name itself hails from the Greek “to breathe hard”. And indeed, for people who have asthma, they know how difficult they have to breathe just to get enough air into them. Cat fur is the most common allergen, as it is very fine and extremely potent for people with allergies or sensitivities. It is bad news for people who love cats and might already have one or two felines at home.

Asthma sufferers will want to avoid both causes and triggers of asthma, but the causes are more serious nature. If there was no cause and the asthma didn’t exist, the triggers would do absolutely no harm. By demoting causes, by calling them triggers, makes people think they are not so important, and that maybe they should just keep using their inhalers instead of making efforts to root out the causes of their asthma and remove these from their environment.

Asthma is actually a reactive allergy that causes the airways to restrict when met with pollutants, but no single cause of Asthma has ever been proven by scientists. Your workplace can also be another cause of Asthma and irritants such as gasses and glues present in the air, are often the cause for Asthma in adults. These factors include pollution, allergies to house dust mites, cats, dogs, and moulds.

You should always keep your home clean. When dust mites, molds, pollens and pet dander are all around, they trigger these attacks. Breathing becomes shallow. And air cannot pass through your inflamed airway. You also start coughing and wheezing. Bronchitis is like the common cold or flu and can be treated with some medication and time. After a while you will find that bronchitis will go away, but you have to be careful, because it can come back if not treated properly and it could turn into something much worse.
